The weekend was so great! Our whole family was in town, and it was peaceful, for the most part! Which is a pretty rare occurrence!

I am beyond proud of Dallas. And beyond proud of myself for snagging a handsome Air Force Officer- now pilot! :)

Dallas leaves next Monday for the full month of June for SERE and Water Survival- and when he gets back, conveniently for him, the house will be packed up, and we will be ready to head to Barksdale AFB in Louisiana!

Lots going on and lots to get done!

Cheers,

Megan and Dallas

Pilot Training. Check.(Almost)

Well, Pilot Training is almost complete for Dallas. And Me. (Since he married me, and gets to bring me along to such training events.)

We had Assignment Night on Friday night. Thank goodness all those butterflies that were in my tummy are gone- and we know officially where we are going. I can start planning- school, housing, etc. etc. Hallelujah.

Dallas got B-52's
He will be pretty much leveling entire cities with this beast:
We will be going to Shreveport, LA- which we have heard is "The Best Kept Secret of the Air Force"- we will know soon whether that is just a ploy to get us there or not.....not that we have a choice. :)

In all seriousness, Shreveport looks awesome, and most importantly, I will be able to consume my body weight in seafood again- since we will no longer be residing in a land-locked state. AND- I will be only 4 and a half hours from home- I will get to see my family and friends a little more often!

I am so proud of Dallas. He will get to pin on those silver wings in about a week and a half and deserves it after this year of intense training! :)

Now, we wait for the official orders to come in- to tell us what we will and won't be doing this summer- and when we will be moving!

This weekend after assignment night, we decided to do a little celebrating! We got a hotel room in the City- The Skirvin!- enjoyed some delicious food with our good buddies, Brent and Melissa, and then had a few drinks in Bricktown! It was nice to get away- even if it was only an hour and a half away from home- and we got to enjoy some much needed quality time with each other!

On Friday, we will be heading to Lubbock, TX to celebrate with Dylan and the family for graduationg Cum Laude from Texas Tech University with a degree in Petroleum Engineering! Bring on the family time!

Cheers,

Megan
